Serbia: Carlsberg Serbia reported that it has sold its millionth hl of beer in Serbia
In the last three years since it took over the Čelarevo brewery, Carlsberg Serbia has been showing constant growth in production and sales, from 590,000 hectoliters in 2004, to 960,000 in 2005 and a record amount of beer which was sold this year, B92 released November 16.
Carlsberg Serbia CEO Isaac Sheps said that for the first time in the long tradition of the Čelarevo brewery, it will achieve the sale of over a million hectoliters in one year.
He said that the company launched its “Tuborg Christmas Brew” this month, a special brand dedicated to the approaching holiday season.
Since it purchased the brewery three years ago, Carlsberg has invested €100 million and taken a firm grip on second place in the Serbian beer market.
